Today, in dental laboratories, assistants take all responsibility for disinfection and sterilization procedures: it is indeed necessary for them to have a deep knowledge of the transmission mechanisms of potentially deadly diseases (Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, AIDS…), of disinfectants and their action spectrum, and of the operating procedures of the lab equipment.
This course aims at informing and raising awareness on cross-infections control and prevention and on the related disinfection and sterilization procedures, through immediate and easy-to-follow protocols.
